Every aspect of Carlson Center reflects meticulous planning and ongoing attention, from highlighting the finer points of the interior designs to maintaining the natural landscape. Each building features a distinct look, yet all are pulled together with classic architectural threads such as a natural color palette, column work, stone arches, punched windows and building cornices.
From the I-394 and Carlson Parkway interchange, a neatly manicured, tree-lined drive welcomes executives, staff, visitors and residents, and escorts them toward the business park’s crown jewel: the Carlson Towers. These mirror-image buildings of glass, granite and brass ascend in an impressive stair-step design, and serve as the world headquarters of Carlson.
Directly across Carlson Parkway from the towers are Park Nicollet healthcare clinic and Epoch, an assisted-living complex for senior citizens.
Three key developments nestle among the trees, lakes and walking paths just north of the Carlson Towers. The Gates at Carlson Center, a convenient residential complex, offers one- and two-bedroom apartments. At 301 & 401 Carlson Parkway, a pair of five-story, multi-tenant office buildings preside over a formal driveway. The rear patio overlooks a lake. The buildings also feature on-site food service and state-of-the-art security technology.
Located just north along Carlson Parkway, the brick and glass One Carlson Parkway office building displays barrel-vaulted ceilings and a grand staircase in its two-story design. Across the Parkway, Two Carlson Parkway, a four-story office building, features underground executive parking and a fitness facility with locker and shower facilities. A full-service restaurant across the parking lot from Two Carlson Parkway offers convenient casual dining, and the 135-room Country Inn & Suites By Carlson® with its cozy residential interior design and welcoming front porch greets guests with the legendary Carlson hospitality.
Carlson Parkway curves to the east and crosses I-494. The Carlson Center Shoppes are located there, including a childcare center, convenience store with a gas station, and additional restaurants.
The Carlson Business Center stands just south from the Carlson Center Shoppes. This cohesive eight-building mixed-use development features a classic exterior finish and 24-foot warehouse ceilings. Further down Chesire Lane are Carlson Center East I & II, multi-tenant office buildings that overlook ponds and natural wetlands. Carlson Center is also home to the Carlson Tech Center for tenants with flexible space needs.
The Carlson Center campus also includes additional mixed-use development in the northeast quadrant of I-494 and Carlson Parkway. The Tile Shop, a build-to-suit headquarters and showroom facility, and the Carlson Center North Showroom, a low-rise flexible office/warehouse building with drive-in loading docks, benefit from immediate access to the interstate.
